Update: 13.06.14
We’d just like to offer you a quick update on the Sparklehorse film. We have just arrived back from the US where we interviewed numerous friends and musicians close to Mark. These interviews went very well and offered us a real insight into Mark’s personality.
We also filmed in and around the beautiful landscapes of Mark’s old stomping grounds in Virginia & North Carolina. The Southern Appalachian Mountains where Mark lived are truly a sight to behold.
In the near future we aim to undertake a few more interviews that will fill the remaining gaps in the film’s narrative.
However, there are still some sensitive legal issues surrounding Mark’s passing and his legacy, so as ethical filmmakers we must be as respectful to the Linkous family as we possibly can and wait for legalities to be resolved.
All of this means that the film will still be a few months away from being completed and delivered to you.
We can’t thank you all enough for your patience and we hope to update you with further details pertaining to the films release in the near future. Many thanks.
